Abstract This research demonstrates the ease with which the collection of questionnaire data can take place over the World Wide Web (WWW). A psychology questionnaire was placed on the WWW to which over 800 responses were obtained in just 21 days. Although the respondents included greater percentages than exist in the general population of women, younger individuals, and higher educated individuals, the demographics of the WWW users were not extraordinarily unusual. It was concluded that because data can be collected quickly, easily, and with fewer errors, the WWW is a viable method of data collection.
